This category contains Rob Allen spearguns: aluminium and carbon railguns, single and double rollerguns, Timberline models that pair carbon with mahogany, and an aluminium pole spear. Lengths run from compact 50 cm reef guns to 1.5 m bluewater rollerguns, and most models arrive rigged with shaft, bands and shooting line.

How to choose a Rob Allen speargun
Railgun or rollergun
A railgun is a conventional band gun: the bands stretch from the muzzle to the shaft and an integrated rail guides the shaft along the barrel for a quiet, straight launch. Browse them under conventional guns. A rollergun routes the bands around rollers in the muzzle, which gives a longer power stroke from the same barrel length. Rob Allen rollerguns use ceramic bearings – four on single-roller models, eight on the double rollerguns – and reward a diver who is happy to learn a slightly more involved loading routine.
Length versus visibility
Match the gun to the water you dive most. Guns of 50–80 cm suit holes, caves and murky water where fish are shot at close range. Around 90–110 cm covers most reef and coastal hunting. From 120 cm upwards the extra shaft length and band power are aimed at clear water and pelagic species. A gun that is too long for the conditions is slow to swing and hard to manoeuvre in rocks.
Barrel material
Aluminium barrels are robust and simple to maintain. Carbon barrels are lighter and stiffer for a steadier aim. Timberline models wrap a carbon core in mahogany; the Havoc Timberline, for example, is listed as neutrally buoyant.
